Show some examples of different ways comic artists letter and draw balloons. I like to emphasize that the text should be approached as an integral part of the comic, and can be as individual as an artist’s drawing style.
Demonstration 1: Show how letters are put together by individual strokes, as in calligraphy
Demonstration 2: Show how to put letters together using the strokes, upper case and lower case.
Exercise 1: Draw different strokes in a line. straight angle curve
